Getting started with Travomate Parcels
What is Travomate Parcels and how does it work?
Travomate Parcels is a peer-to-peer (P2P) parcel delivery app that connects people who need to send a package with travellers already heading to that destination. You post your parcel in the app, verified travellers send offers, you choose the one that fits, and payment is held in escrow until delivery is confirmed. No warehouses, no long courier chains — just the unused space in a trip that's already happening.
Where is Travomate Parcels available?
Travomate Parcels is available globally on Google Play and as a web app at travo-mate.online/parcel/login. The iOS App Store version is coming soon. Because matches are driven by real travellers, the more people on the platform, the more routes you'll see — popular international and long-distance routes typically have the most active offers.
How is Travomate Parcels different from a regular courier?
Traditional couriers route parcels through warehouses and sorting hubs. Travomate Parcels skips all of that — your package travels directly with a verified traveller already going where you need to send it. That usually means cheaper prices, faster delivery on niche routes, and a real human you can rate at the end.
Who owns Travomate Parcels?
Travomate Parcels is owned and operated by Travomate SP Z.O.O, a Polish limited liability company headquartered in Warsaw. You can read more on our About page, including our full Impressum and registration details.
For senders
How do I send a parcel?
Open the app, tap "Send a parcel," and add your destination, parcel size, weight, and any pickup details. Within minutes, verified travellers heading your way will start sending offers. Compare ratings and prices, accept the offer that fits, pay securely, and follow the journey to delivery.
What types of parcels can I send?
Most everyday personal parcels — documents, gifts, clothes, books, electronics, food (where legal), and similar items. Some items are restricted or banned for safety, customs, or legal reasons. See our Prohibited Items Policy for the full list before you post.
How big or heavy can a parcel be?
The app shows you size and weight tiers when you post. Most travellers can carry small to medium-sized parcels (up to typical airline carry-on or extra checked-luggage allowances), but very large or oversized parcels may need a traveller with specific capacity. The price scales with size and weight.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends entirely on the traveller's trip. Many parcels are delivered the same day or next day if a traveller is leaving soon. The estimated arrival is shown on every offer, so you can pick by speed or by price.
Can I track my parcel in real time?
Yes. Once a traveller picks up your parcel, you'll see status updates inside the app — picked up, in transit, arrived, delivered. You can also message the traveller directly through the in-app chat at any point.
What if my parcel doesn't arrive or arrives damaged?
Funds are held in escrow and only released after you confirm delivery. If something goes wrong, don't confirm — open a dispute in the app. Our support team will review the case, the in-app chat, and any evidence (photos, tracking) before deciding how funds are released. Insured parcels can also claim against their coverage.
For travellers
How can I earn money as a traveller?
If you're already travelling, list your trip in the app — origin, destination, dates, and how much space you have. Senders along that route will request your service or you can browse their parcel posts and send an offer. Once you deliver and the sender confirms, you get paid.
How much can I earn per parcel?
You set your own price for each offer. Earnings depend on the route, parcel size, urgency, and your rating. Travellers on long-haul international routes typically earn more per trip than short domestic ones — and frequent travellers often offset most of their flight costs.
What are my responsibilities as a traveller?
You agree to pick up the parcel as arranged, keep it safe in transit, hand it over to the recipient on time, and follow customs and legal requirements. You should also visually inspect the parcel at pickup and decline anything that seems suspicious or that violates our Prohibited Items Policy.
Do I need a specific visa or special permit to carry parcels?
No special permit is required for personal parcels carried as part of your luggage in most jurisdictions. However, you must comply with the customs rules of every country you travel through. The app helps by flagging restricted items and providing guidance, but the final responsibility for compliance is yours and the sender's.
Can I refuse to carry a parcel after I've accepted?
Yes. If at pickup you find the parcel doesn't match what was posted, looks unsafe, or could violate customs rules, decline it. Funds remain held until the parcel is actually picked up — both sides are protected.
Payments & pricing
How do payments work?
You pay inside the Travomate Parcels app when you accept a traveller's offer. Funds are held securely in escrow and released to the traveller only after you confirm successful delivery. This protects both sides — the traveller is guaranteed payment, and you're guaranteed your money back if delivery fails.
Which payment methods are supported?
The app supports major debit and credit cards and common digital wallets, depending on your region. Available methods are shown at checkout. We do not store full card details — payments are processed by trusted PCI-compliant payment partners.
Why is Travomate Parcels often cheaper than couriers?
Traditional couriers price in warehouses, fuel, sorting hubs, vehicles, and entire fleets. Travomate Parcels prices in only the unused space in a trip that's already happening. No warehouses, no long chains — just a fair share between sender and traveller, with a small platform fee on top.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The total price you pay — including any platform service fee and optional insurance — is shown clearly before you confirm. There are no surprise charges added after delivery.
How and when do travellers get paid?
Once the sender confirms delivery, the traveller's earnings are released and made available for withdrawal in the app, typically within a few business days depending on your bank or wallet provider.
Safety & verification
How does Travomate verify users?
Every user goes through identity verification before they can send or carry parcels. We may also run additional checks (phone, email, payment method, and where appropriate document checks) to keep the platform safe. Verified users have a clear badge in the app.
How are ratings and reviews shown?
After every successful delivery, both sides rate each other. Ratings and review counts are shown on every profile and on every offer, so you can pick travellers (or accept senders) with strong delivery histories.
What should I do if a traveller or sender behaves inappropriately?
Report the user inside the app — every chat and profile has a report option. Our trust & safety team reviews reports promptly and can suspend or ban accounts that violate our Terms of Service.
Does Travomate share my personal data with the other party?
Only the minimum needed to complete the delivery. The other party sees your name and rating, can chat with you in-app, and gets the pickup/drop-off info you choose to share. Sensitive details like full ID documents are never shared with other users. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Insurance & claims
Is parcel insurance included?
Insurance is optional. You can add coverage at checkout for an additional fee, with the limits shown clearly before you pay. We recommend insuring valuable, fragile, or hard-to-replace items.
What does insurance cover?
Coverage typically includes loss and damage during transit, up to the declared value of the parcel and the limits of the policy you select. Some categories (cash, securities, prohibited items, etc.) are not eligible for coverage. Exclusions are listed at checkout.
How do I file a claim?
If your insured parcel is lost or damaged, do not confirm delivery. Open a dispute in the app and select "File insurance claim." You'll be asked to provide evidence (photos, the in-app chat history, and proof of value). Our team will guide you through the rest.
Customs & legality
Is sending parcels with travellers legal?
Yes — carrying personal parcels as part of your luggage is permitted in most jurisdictions, provided the contents are legal, accurately declared, and within personal-use limits. Travomate is not a courier or postal operator; we connect individuals so they can transport personal items between each other in compliance with local laws.
What about customs duties on international parcels?
For international shipments, customs rules may apply at the destination depending on the parcel's value and contents. The app guides senders through declaration requirements, and travellers should always be ready to declare items honestly at customs. Senders are ultimately responsible for the legality and accurate declaration of their parcel's contents.
What items are prohibited?
For safety and legal reasons, certain items can never be sent through Travomate — including illegal substances, weapons, hazardous materials, and counterfeit goods. The full list is in our Prohibited Items Policy. The app also flags restricted items as you post.
What happens if a parcel turns out to contain something prohibited?
The traveller has the right (and the responsibility) to decline at pickup. Senders who post or attempt to ship prohibited items violate our Terms of Service and may be permanently banned and reported to authorities where required by law.
Account & app
How do I create an account?

Is there a fee to sign up?
No. Creating an account is free. You only pay when you accept a traveller's offer to send a parcel; travellers earn when they complete deliveries.
